Congratulations, Nicol!
This year, the Forexx Women’s World Open Squash Championship received unprecedented media coverage (to the surprise of the Squash community) all over the Netherlands—kudos to Tommy Berden and his team of fantastic organizers! If there was a Tournament of the Year of the award, our vote goes to this year’s Women’s World Open!
With that being said, we would like to share with you the news that was aired on Dutch TV by NOS. In this interview, the Dutch interviewer cheekily jest with four times Women’s World Champion, Nicol David and HRH Tunku Imran, asking “Who is more famous in Malaysia amongst the two of them.” They also spoke with Nicol’s parents—Desmond & Anne David as well as with the first runner-up of this tournament—the lovely Natalie Grinham of the Netherlands.
