China Open 2012

25 October 2012

Happy World Squash Day! Heading to Shanghai tomorrow for the China Open where I play Li Dongjin in the first round next Thursday.

Last 16 v Li Dongjin
25 October 2012

Defeated China’s Li Dongjin 9/11, 11/4, 11/4, 11/3 in the last 16 of the China Open. Tomorrow I play Aisling Blake in the quarter finals at 3pm.

Quarter-final v Aisling Blake
26 October 2012

I won my quarter-final against Aisling Blake 11/9, 11/7, 11/5. It was a tough match and Aisling has improved a lot so I am happy to get through 3-0. I play the semi-final tomorrow night at 7.30pm on the glass court in the city centre garden of Shanghai against Low Wee Wern. Can’t wait.

Semi-final v Low Wee Wern
27 October 2012

Tonight I lost to Malaysian Low Wee Wern 10/12, 7/11, 5/11 in the semi-finals of the China Open in the amazing location of Shanghai’s CBD. It just wasn’t a good night and I think my nerves got the better of me. Wee Wern was consistent and played well.
