Recoverin’ in Canada

Because of my calf injury in April, five months have passed since I’ve played a tournament and I’m keen to get back onto the competition stage.  I have been doing intense physio along with training on court and my recovery has been long but successful.  I am finally physically strong enough to play in the Sun and Surf in Vancouver at the Jericho Club– one of the most beautiful settings for a tournament as the club looks over an inlet of the Pacific ocean.

I have trouble choosing my favorite tournament venue but Vancouver is one of my top picks.   The vegetation is lush and the surrounding water is stunning.   And the squash community is one of the most fun that I have encountered.  Players are keen to compete in the Sun and Surf because of the themed party on the Saturday night that has the repuatution of being the best squash party in BC.  I haven’t picked out my dress for this year’s ‘Prom’ but I expect to find something fabulous in the next few days.

Obviously lookin’ forward to my time in Vanc…
