Nicol and Natalie on course in Texas

After her giant killing efforts yesterday, Samantha Teran succumbed in 3 sets to Natalie Grainger in the quarterfinals of the Texas Open 2009. Despite the loss today, Samantha can take away a lot of positives from this tournament. Meanwhile, defending champ Natalie Grainger is getting closer and closer to that 3rd successive Texas crown….
But it would be foolish to dismiss Nicol David, who continued her solid run by beating French woman Isabelle Stoehr in straight sets. The only upset came from Jenny Duncalf (5th seed) who managed to beat 3rd seed Rachael Grinham in 5 close games to reach the semi finals. Semi’s will start Saturday at 4 pm local time.
